Taylor Swift drops her 2024 World Tour dates, which only lists Singapore in SEA but a two-month gap between her last Singapore date and her next concert in Paris leaves a question of how many more concerts will be added in the island republic.

This comes after Coldplay kept adding more shows in Singapore after starting out with 4.

For her world tour called “The Eras Tour” next year, Swift is only going to stop by two Asian countries, which are Japan and Singapore.

What’s more frustrating for Malaysians to process is, not only is Singapore the only Southeast Asian country to get the American singer-songwriter to perform there, but they get to have her for 3 DAYS from 2 March to 4 March 2024! Honestly, that’s like a slap in the face after all the 6-day Coldplay in Singapore concert commotion.

Meanwhile, Japan will be having her in Tokyo earlier for four days from 7 February to 10 February 2024.

Besides Asia, Swift will also be touring Australia and Europe next year with more than 14 countries on her list.

Some of the countries she’ll be touring are as follows:

  • Australia
  • France
  • United Kingdom
  • Germany
  • Netherlands
  • Ireland

Malaysian fans are speechless

Many Malaysian fans are enraged and fed up with Swift’s announcement. Not only do we have to contend with one Coldplay show while Singapore has six, but they get to have Tay Tay too. The world is not fair, is it?

Some definitely expect Swift to add more dates to her Singapore concert. At this rate, we might as well just call it a Singapore tour.

Besides that, some even speculated the reason why Tay Tay isn’t coming to Malaysia. This might be due to our country’s religious stand and some political issues.

Well, that actually could make sense too. After all, Coldplay even had to apologise for their one and only show in Malaysia to some unhappy citizens so maybe Tay Tay would like to avoid that kinda scene too?

Who knows. It might just be a good economic or strategic geographic decision.

So what do you think about The Eras Tour in Singapore? Will it only be a 3-day concert or a 30-day concert?
