This famous Klang Deepavali bazaar has been cancelled this year due to the recent Covid-19 spike in the district.
Media Selangor reports that the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) has cancelled the Lorong Tingkat Deepavali bazaar, aka Klang’s Little India Deepavali bazaar, in a move to curb the transmission of the coronavirus in the district.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has disrupted our daily lives, the opening of the bazaar site for the Deepavali celebration this year had to be reviewed.

In previous years, the Deepavali bazaar in Klang leading up to the celebration drew in scores of people looking for snacks, outfits, decorations and more.

Deepavali falls on 14 November this year.
Klang is currently a red zone and under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) until 23 October.
As of 12 October, the district has 88 active Covid-19 cases.
