A social media post by Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin publicly shamed a few political party leaders for violating the MCO.
The photographs purportedly show Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali, Perak exco Razman Zakaria, and their entourage distributing provisions and eating together with a group of people at a tahfiz insitution in Perak.
In other countries, politicians in health ministries face harsh punishment for violating their own lockdown rules.
The New Zealand Health Minister has called himself “an idiot” for driving his family to the beach 20km away, which was a clear breach of the lockdown principles and offered his resignation. Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer made two trips to her second home during the lockdown as well and has officially resigned.
We do not want to have different rules and leadership must demonstrate good behaviour.

According to Malay Mail, a police report against the politicians have since been lodged. Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that the police will take action against everyone who violates the movement control order (MCO) rules, including people who are used to rules not applying to them.
This isn’t even the first time high-ranking politicians have openly flouted the MCO, as photographs of VIPs dining together and visiting each other have made their rounds on social media since the start of the MCO.
