Police Arrests Woman Who Insulted Police Officer

The woman who claimed to be a police officer and insulted a lower-ranked police officer at Batu Caves has been arrested.

An alleged policewoman who was caught on video insulting a lower-ranked police officer at Taman Sri Gombak, Batu Caves, on Thursday (15 June) has been arrested by the police.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar said the woman was arrested today (18 June) around 1.20pm at Gombak police station.

The police also confiscated a phone from the 35-year-old suspect and will be investigating the case under Section 506 and Section 186 of the Penal Code, and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act.

The suspect will be granted bail once the investigation is complete because there are several other reports lodged against the same suspect.

Previously, the suspect was seen on video berating a lower-ranked police officer. Her actions have been criticised by netizens.
