A video of a woman claiming to be a senior police officer insulting a low-ranking officer in a food court in Gombak, Selangor, has gone viral on social media.
In the video, the woman can be heard raising her voice and using abusive language towards the male member with the rank of lance corporal.
She told him he didn’t deserve to talk to her because of his lower rank.
The incident is believed to have happened on Thursday and involved a case of impersonation in the area.
When the police asked for the woman’s identity card after receiving a complaint from the public, she refused to give it.
She asked the police to state her fault before yelling and insulting the low-ranking police officer.
After the video went viral, netizens condemned the woman’s actions if it was true that she was a senior police officer.
Police Identify Suspect And Call Her To Testify
Selangor OCPD Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said police had identified the civil servant suspect and called her to testify.
Two investigation papers have been opened for further investigation related to the incident.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many condemning the woman’s behaviour towards a fellow police officer.
The video has also raised concerns about the behaviour of those in positions of authority and their treatment of subordinates.
