Food Rider Charged With Lighting Motorcycles On Fire At Suria KLCC
The 34-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty to setting the motorcycles and e-scooters on fire on 13 April.

A food delivery rider pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court today (19 April) for burning 11 motorcycles and four electric scooters in front of Suria KLCC shopping mall.
Azril Kamarunzaman, 34, was charged with committing the offence and causing mischief on 13 April at the parking area of the mall.
He was charged under Section 435 of the Penal Code which carries a 14-year jail term and a fine.
Judge Datuk Nu’aman Mahmud Zuhudi allowed RM5,000 bail with one surety. The court fixed 22 May for mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Wan Nurul Amalina Abu Hanifah prosecuted, while lawyer Muhamad Ridzuan Umar represented Azril.
According to Astro Awani, the bail was initially set at as much as RM12,000, but it was lowered when Muhamad Ridzuan Umar pointed out that Azril needs to support his wife and parents.
On 13 April, reports indicated that someone set fire to 13 motorcycles and four electric scooters around 3.30pm.
The video went viral and a 34-year-old man who was near the scene of the crime was apprehended based on CCTV evidence.
E-scooter company Beam said none of its electric vehicles was responsible for the fire and was relieved no one was harmed.
