There were no data leaks from the National Registration Department (JPN), said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.
He added that an internal investigation had been conducted and concluded that no data leaks were discovered.
He said this at a press conference in Bukit Aman today (29 September) reported The Star.
So far 104 agencies are permitted to use the MyIdentity data but the ones who really used it are about 100.

We will reduce the number of agencies from time to time by introducing certain benchmarks and requirements that they have to meet.
We will start from now on briefing all users of the data on what they are supposed to do.
He also advised the public not to speculate and let the police conduct its investigation, hinting that the investigation is still ongoing.
He also did not deny the validity of the data being sold.
