More Data Leaks, This Time It’s SSM’s, For Sale Online

The new SSM data leak includes profiles of 1.4 million companies, it’s directors, shareholders, secretaries, and more.

A new data list is said to have sprung, this time involving the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). 

The data is said to contain company profiles, the particulars of its directors, and shareholders, particulars of the company secretary and more. 

It is said that the data contains the profiles of approximately 1.4 million Malaysian companies.

“A single company report worth 18USD at,” wrote the seller. 

The database is being sold for 0.3 bitcoins (~RM52,000) to individual buyers or 1 bitcoin (~RM174,400) “if you crony owner of (and we take down/stop selling this data).”

This news comes a day after the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) denied that they were involved in the National Registration Department (JPN) database of 4 million Malaysians that went up for sale online.
