According to her post on Facebook, the hotel staff informed her that a housekeeping worker had broken into her room.

Hotel Staff Identify The Housekeeping Worker As The Intruder

Another hotel staff later called her back, revealing that the intruder was a housekeeping worker.

The hotel offered a free night’s accommodation as compensation, but the victim remained shaken by the incident.

She emphasized that the door was locked after entering the guest room, but there was only a handle on the door and no additional lock.

The victim had stayed at the hotel before but stated that this experience left her with trauma.

It reminded her to be more cautious when staying in any hotel in the future.

The Importance Of Hotel Security Measures

The incident has caused concern among netizens who questioned the hotel’s security measures and suggested that the victim contact the police.

They said hotels must take security breaches seriously and utilize their security facilities, such as CCTV, to catch intruders.

Netizens said it was unfortunate the hotel asked her to fill out forms instead of taking immediate action.

On the other hand, they added it’s good that she could use Facebook to spread awareness about the incident.

The hotel has yet to respond to the incident publicly.

The incident highlights the importance of hotel security measures, including having additional locks on guest room doors.

It also serves as a reminder for travellers to prioritize their safety and be cautious when staying in unfamiliar places.
