The residents and volunteers from Kampung Esok and Kampung Orang Asli Tohor in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan, have banded together to quickly build a makeshift bridge over the collapsed road yesterday (19 March).

There was an urgency to reconnect the road because it’s an important route for many of the villagers, and it’s the only entry and exit road.

Kosmo reported that the group of 20 people built the temporary bridge using used wood.

While it’s not a permanent solution, the temporary bridge helps when there are emergencies. For now, only motorcycles can cross the bridge safely.

A Facebook user allegedly claimed that the road partially collapsed on 18 December 2021, and it was never repaired.

The road fully gave way on 19 March 2022 and made it impossible for anyone and any vehicle to pass.

The Public Works Department (JKR) is reportedly looking into the issue.
