A 20-year-old Malaysian student, Mohamad Nazrul Kamaruddin, was reduced to tears when his group of friends got him a brand-new laptop for his university studies.
The touching moment was caught on video and posted up by one of his friends on Tiktok. In the video, one of the boys handed Nazrul his gift and Nazrul couldn’t stop crying tears of joy.

According to Harian Metro, Nazrul cried for almost half an hour because he felt so touched by the kindness of his friends.

It all started with a lost wallet
Nazrul recently got accepted to further his studies at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).
However, he lost his wallet last week and could not get himself a new phone to celebrate his university acceptance either.
In order to cheer up their good friend, the gang decided to pool money together to get Nazrul a laptop to use in university.
One of Nazrul’s friends, Farhan Azman, said all 20 of them managed to gather RM1,600 in less than 24 hours to get him a laptop.
They went to buy the laptop on the same day they managed to gather the funds.

Farhan told Harian Metro that he has known Nazrul since 2015 when they were in Form One together and he’s thankful that they’re still friends now.
He shared that Nazrul is not from a well-to-do family but has a habit of quietly treating his friends each time they hangout.
We hope that the gift will bring him happiness and that it will be useful for him throughout his studies on campus.

Those who saw the video on Tiktok said Nazrul is lucky to have such good friends and hoped that the gang will remain good buddies for a long time.
They also praised the boys for being thoughtful by buying their friend a laptop which he’ll need to use for his studies.
