5 super cheap things to in Klang Valley this September (2019)

Hands down, September is Malaysia’s favourite month.

It’s 30 days of celebrations and HOLIDAYS. We’ve got spill over Merdeka holiday, Awal Muharram, the Agong’s Birthday AND Malaysia Day!
That’s THREE consecutive long weekends okay.

Now that we have all this free time, it’s time to go on vacation to exotic places (like the super beautiful & super cheap Belitung Island) or even explore our own backyard.

We did the Googling research for you and here’s TRP’s list of 5 budget-friendly things to in Klang Valley this September!

1. Royal Floria Putrajaya

Yes, the annual flower and garden festival at Putrajaya has bloomed
again.

A truly gorgeous bouquet of orchids & bonsai, the “Mother of all Gardens” is packed with daily activities from flower arrangement demonstration, shows, gardening workshops to arts & crafts events.

photos with your #ootd or just admire the stunning floral landscape.

FYI, the event also got the royal seal of approval from our
King & Queen. Remember the awfully cute video of them swinging hands shared
around last week?

Yes, theatre, dance, music and even stand-up performances
are all limited to only 10 minutes. You get to witness some true strokes of
genius as artists and performers showcase their best in that timeframe.

While some may choose to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival gorging on mooncakes (we totally approve btw), we would also recommend that you take a stroll into the glory days of KL’s Chinatown at Lorong Panggung.

Just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, this little street was restored back to its old school splendour thanks to Project Kwai Chai Hong.

For ‘Moonlight in the City’, the walls are decked in nostalgic murals, there are lanterns all over the place and a GIANT 10-FOOT MOON that just heavenly.

Besides taking hundreds of pictures for the ‘gram, you can sign up for a bunch of lunar activities like snowskin mooncake-making, recycled lantern-making class, storytelling and sing-along sessions, and shadow puppet workshop. More details are available HERE.

Of course, you can also continue gorging on mooncakes too 😉
