Tickets for Jacky Cheung’s six concerts in Malaysia sold out in less than half an hour, causing scalpers to increase prices.

Tickets for Jacky Cheung’s six concerts in Malaysia sold out in two hours, and scalpers increased prices by as much as 10 times the original cost.

The sales started at 10 am on Friday (26 May), and all four ticket categories were priced at RM388, RM688, RM988 and RM1,188 ringgit (excluding administrative and handling fees).

The original price of a VIP ticket was RM1,188, but some scalpers raised the price to RM12,964.

Meanwhile, the lowest price ticket of RM388 is being resold for as much as RM2,399.

Organizers Take Measures To Reduce Scammers And Chaos

The organizer, UnUsUal Entertainment, said they would restrict ticket purchases to reduce ticket scalping.

E-tickets will only be issued to buyers one month in advance.

Despite these measures, the scalpers managed to push ticket prices to the current astounding level.

Jacky Cheung’s concerts in Malaysia will be held on 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20 August at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

Fans who missed out on purchasing tickets are encouraged to wait for official announcements from the organizers regarding any additional ticket sales or availability.

Previously, there was an issue with people reselling Coldplay tickets for a much higher price on social media.

Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil has acknowledged the matter and said he would bring it up with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

However, he also mentioned that the jurisdiction of ticket sales falls under the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry.

Many Malaysians are upset as tickets for the popular band sold out within 3 hours of opening.
