On 30 May, the Health Ministry informed the public that the spread of Covid-19 is getting worse as the current national infectivity rate (Rt) value is at 1.16 and the number of cases reported daily shows an exponentially upward trend.

The MOH also warned of the possible situation where doctors will have to make difficult choices to prioritize ICU beds for patients with higher recovery potential than patients with lower recovery potential (poor prognosis).
