While Malaysia celebrates zero new deaths in the country, that doesn’t mean all Malaysians are safe.

A Malaysian citizen stationed oversea in Qatar has sadly succumbed to Covid-19, away from his family and home country. At 4pm Malaysian time yesterday, he passed away at the Hamad Medical Centre in Doha. He was serving as an engineer at Qatar Airways.

Tengku Endut Tengku Jusoh was from Kampung Air Tawar in Besut, Terengganu. His family is located in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The last time his family ever saw him was earlier this January.

Every year, he returns to Malaysia to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, but due to the pandemic, it was not possible this year.

He is the youngest of five siblings with children of his own aged between 12 and 27 years old.

It’s particularly heart-breaking for his family as his second brother had passed away just a mere 26 days ago due to old age in Kelantan.

The family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
