[Watch] 69-Year-Old Foreigner Nabbed After Video Of Inappropriate Behaviour At Johor CIQ Goes Viral

A 69-year-old foreigner was recently caught on video urinating at the ablution area of the Sultan Iskandar Building Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex’s surau.
The video was shared on Twitter and in it, the man was asked how he did not notice the sign saying this was a place of worship and reminded him that his actions were disrespectful to the place.

The incident created an uproar among netizens.

Since the incident has become viral, it also reached the attention of the police. A media statement was released by the Johor Police Chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat.
He said the foreigner was nabbed after the Johor contingent police received a complaint about the incident on 9 May at about 4.36pm.
Initial investigation found that the man has no previous criminal record.
In order to facilitate investigation under Section 295 of the Penal Code, the suspect was brought before the Johor Bahru Court for a remand application.
If the suspect is convicted, then he is looking at a possible punishment of a jail sentence of two years or a fine or both.
