Ukay Perdana Drowning: Body Of Second Boy Found
Two boys were playing in the drain at Jalan Ukay Perdana, Ampang, before they slipped and got washed away by strong currents.

The body of a second boy, Muhammad Riqullah Mohd Shafie, who drowned after playing in the drain at Jalan Ukay Perdana, Ampang, has been found some 400 metres from the spot he went missing.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said the body of the ten-year-old boy was found amid piles of rubbish in the drain at about 5.10pm yesterday (13 February).
On Saturday (11 February), Muhammad Riqullah was playing in the drain with 8-year-old Wan Muhammad Ammar Wan Mohd Noor Hafizan before they slipped and got swept away by strong currents.
The body of Wan Muhammad Ammar Wan Mohd Noor Hafizan was found drowned that day at 6.30pm around 200m from the scene of the drowning.
According to New Straits Times, SAR personnel expanded the search for Muhammad Riqullah to a 3km radius.
Hulu Langat Zone 4 Fire and Rescue Department senior officer Shahrin Yusmar Mat Yusof said they initially did not find the body while digging in the area.
After the prayer call was made four times, one of the firefighters saw a fly circling around one spot. The rescue team started digging again and found the boy’s body.
Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the case has been classified as sudden death.
The parents of both boys will be investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001 for child neglect, The Vibes reported.
Parents are advised to keep a close watch on their children and not leave them unsupervised.
