[Watch] Animal Abuser Dragged To Court For Hitting Puppy More Than 10 Times
Cera, a stray puppy, was lying down to sleep when a man hit it repeatedly with a large stick and prevented passersby from saving the dog.

A stray puppy named Cera was badly beaten by a man with a stick on 29 October 2022 in a local neighbourhood.
According to My Forever Doggo, Cera suffered broken bones in her right front and hind legs as a result of the violence.
Passersby didn’t dare to intervene because the man also threatened to hit those who tried to help the dog.
A woman named Shima, who’s an independent rescuer, was alerted to the incident and she found Cera looking lifeless on the ground when she got there.
She rushed Cera to a vet where they found the extent of the dog’s injuries. Fortunately, the vet said Cera was strong enough to go through the surgery.
Cera seems to be recovering well and is cared for while the court case against the man who hit her is ongoing.
Based on the video on My Forever Doggo’s page, a police report had been lodged and the court hearing started today at 9am on 31 January 2023 at the Kuala Selangor Sessions Court.
The animal abuser, who has since been identified, is to face criminal charges under Section 29(1) of the Animal Welfare Act 2015.
The Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia (DVS) is pushing for the maximum possible sentence.
Netizens were appalled by the abuse Cera was put through and called for the perpetrator to be justly punished.
They also thanked Shima for rescuing Cera and hoped the puppy will have a swift recovery.
Hopefully, justice will be served against animal abusers in the country.
