Previously, the Youth and Sports Ministry managed the issue of the lack of stadium seats for the first leg of the semifinal match of the Mitsubishi Electric AFF Cup 2022 by providing large screens in a few locations in the city.

For the second leg of the semifinal match between Malaysia and Thailand tonight (10 January), Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh announced that the ministry is increasing the number of locations for football fans to watch their beloved match on the big screen.
The big screens were initially set up in 14 locations nationwide for the first leg of the semifinal match on 7 January 2023. Malaysia’s Harimau Malaya won 1-0 against Thailand that day.
The number of locations with large screens for the match tonight has been increased to 25 areas. This time it included areas such as Labuan, Kedah, Johor, Terengganu, and Kelantan.
