We don’t need to join the queue at the Road Transport Department (JPJ) offices anymore when we want to renew our driving licenses.

A Twitter user @anisssurayaaa pointed out that many people are still unaware that they can renew their driving license online and shared the steps to do it:

1. Head over to Lesen2u website.

2. Click ‘Perbaharui Sekarang.’ Make sure your driving license hasn’t expired yet to avoid a fine.

3. Fill in the form and make sure your details are correct.

4. Send in the form application.

5. Make an online payment.

Take note that it takes about 4 to 5 working days for the renewal process. In the meantime, you’ll receive a slip to act as your temporary driving license.

Other than renewing your driving license on Lesen2u, you can also do the same on MYEG.

You can renew your road tax, apply for Learners Driving License (LDL), pay for summons and transfer vehicle ownership online on MYEG too.

However, you’ll need to create an MYEG account first but that shouldn’t take too long. The steps to renew your driving license in MYEG is detailed in the article below.

Being able to renew some of our official documents online is convenient especially when we don’t have the time to head over to JPJ, the post office or the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) to do it.
