[GE15] Batu Indie Candidate Says He Is ‘Too Lan’ Because Of Gerakan President Dominic Lau

The independent candidate for the Batu parliamentary seat Too Gao Lan, will broadcast live on his Facebook page “Too Gao Lan” at 8pm tonight.
Too, whose real name is Too Cheng Huat, said he will explain to voters and netizens why he is running for this election.
He welcomes netizens to join his live broadcast to give criticism and advice.
In an exclusive interview with Sin Chew, Too said that he used this controversial name to run for election because of Gerakan and its president Datuk Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.
Too Gao Lan, which sounds like a foul language in Cantonese and Hokkien, made Too popular overnight.
Too Gao Lan means extreme anger and unhappiness.

However, he solemnly emphasized that this is not a vengeful cursing, but represents his attitude and position.
Too claimed that Gerakan, which joined Perikatan Nasional (PN), actually handed over Batu to PAS.
He said this violated the trust of Batu voters in them over the past 30 years, which made him and the voters very angry.
