While we often hear about people getting turned away from the premises for dressing against the standards, a woman’s recent experience at a hospital drew laughter.
In a TikTok video, a woman wearing a blue and white striped blouse couldn’t contain her laughter when she was prevented from leaving the hospital.
According to TikTok user Epal Manis, her cousin was allegedly prevented from leaving the premises because her blouse was similar to the clothes worn by hospital patients.
The guard might have prevented her from leaving just in case she was a runaway patient.
She was eventually allowed to go home, and the situation amused netizens.

Netizens also shared their similar hilarious experiences at hospitals. A person said their husband once dressed smartly for work but dropped by the hospital first to visit their child. When he got there, the nurses thought he was a doctor.
Meanwhile, another person’s younger sibling was mistaken as a hospital staff because he was wearing a white-coloured uniform. The same thing happened when another netizen wore a chef uniform while visiting a friend in the hospital.
Someone’s mother was mistaken as a patient at Hospital Bahagia because she wore a sage green outfit while shopping at a mall.
In hindsight, a netizen jokingly pointed out that it could be an excellent trick to get extended visiting hours.
The hilarious incident is a good reminder not to wear striped shirts while visiting someone in a public hospital! On the other hand, the guard must be commended for being meticulous and observant while on duty.
