‘Cigarettes After Sex’ Is Coming To Malaysia This July! Tickets Available On Friday

CAS is coming on 15th July and their tickets will be available at ticket2u this Friday at 11 am.

Cigarettes After Sex (CAS), the American alternative indie band is coming to Kuala Lumpur this July.

Initially, they posted their Asia Tour on their Instagram on January 10 with certain countries like Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand Singapore and Indonesia and Malaysians were disappointed that they skipped our country.

However, on January 30, they announced that they will be adding Malaysia to their list for July 15 and Malaysian fans are excited!

CAS has been in Malaysia before in 2019’s Good Vibes Festival in Genting Highlands, four years ago.

The details of their concert are a bit hazy but here’s what we know.

Ticket Price: RM280, RM330, RM350 and RM800

According to NME, tickets are going to be on sale at 11 am this Friday (February 3) via ticket2u.com.my.

CAS is popular with their hits like Apocalypse, Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby, Heavenly, K., and many more. Their songs are mostly moody, slow, and seductive.

A little info on the Indie band

No doubt, the name “Cigarettes After Sex” is going to make your parents rethink their decision on giving you freedom, so here are some facts about them to tell others.

It’s not going to change their perception, but at least you can tell them it’s a band, not a cult. 👀

Cigarettes After Sex is an American dream pop band formed in El Paso, Texas, USA by Greg Gonzalez.
They started in 2008 and became a real band in 2012. They would record live at their stairway in their hometown back then.
They came out as an ambient pop band but their music mainly focuses on genres like indie rock, shoegaze and slowcore.
The founder, Greg Gonzalez is the lead vocalist. People love his sultry and androgynous voice.
They describe their music as hazy romantic ballads, sort of like erotic lullabies (no, not the kind you play to your toddlers).
The inspiration behind the name of the band came to Greg when he was in a relationship in 2008 and the girl literally smoked after they were together. She taught him that and he loved the feeling.
Currently, the band has three members which are Greg Gonzalez (vocalist, acoustic & electric guitar), Jacob Tomsky (drums) and Randall Miller (bass).
They’re usually seen only in black and white outfits, just like how their posters and images on Instagram are.

Mostly, all of their songs sound the same with Gonzalez’s hushed and mysterious voice. According to him, the fact that their songs are so hushed has something almost secret about it that draws people in.
