The Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) has urged all mosques and surau in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan to hold the ‘hajat’ prayer.

JAWI director Mohd Ajib Ismail recommended that the ‘hajat’ prayers are held after the Maghrib prayers for three consecutive days starting from today.

Let us all continue to pray that Allah SWT will always protect our beloved country Malaysia from this dangerous epidemic, grant healing to all who have been infected and facilitate the affairs of all parties to face this test.

He said the ‘hajat’ prayer should be held in lieu of the recent spike in cases, to seek Allah’s protection against Covid-19.
