A video showing a man scolding and beating a woman, believed to be his wife, had gone viral.
The incident, which took place by a roadside, is said to have occurred on Thursday somewhere in the East Coast.
The man was abusive towards his wife in a video uploaded on Oh Melayu’s Facebook page on Thursday.
In the video lasting one minute and 47 seconds, the man in question also hit his wife on the head with a helmet.
However, the woman seemed calm and did not fight back despite being hit and pushed several times.

Meanwhile, netizens expressed anger at the man’s actions.
Many Malay commenters said that violence against women is never encouraged nor allowed in Islam.
The relationship should be one of mutual love, respect and kindness.
Some said the woman should report the matter to the police or seek appropriate help, while others pointed out that money is the most common cause of arguments between couples.
