Undi18: How To Check Your Automatic Voter Registration Status (PPSA)

What is meant by Automatic Voter Registration (PPSA)?
With the gazette of the Undi18 Bill, all Malaysian citizens who have reached the age of 18 years and above are eligible to be registered as voters by the Election Commission (EC).
The implementation of this PPSA was enforced on 15 December 2021.
Malaysians who are 18 years and above as of 31 December would be automatically included in the electoral roll if they are not already registered.
Here are more information about Undi18 and how you can check your eligibility to cast ballots in the country’s elections.

Conditions For Registration in PPSA
- Malaysian
- Aged 18 years and above
- Resides at the address on the identity card; and
- Not disqualified as a voter by law

How Can A Person Be Registered With The EC After Reaching 18 Years Old?
Malaysian citizens who are eligible and have complete information based on records at the National Registration Department (JPN) will be registered as voters without having to apply to the EC.
This automatic voter registration process will take up to a month and a half from the day the individual reaches the age of 18 years.
The reason is because because the process requires validating by the Attorney General’s Chambers among other Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).
Starting this year, the roll is updated on a monthly basis.
How To Check Automatic Voter Registration Online
New voters can check voting information in the following ways:
- Voter list review portal at https://pengundi.spr.gov.my (enter your MyKad number and verify you are not a bot)
- MySPR Semak application
- Official portal of the State Election offices at http://ppn.spr.gov.my or
- Speak to someone at EC Hotline (03-8892 7018)
If your name is not in the PPSA list, you can make a claim to the EC by filling in Form C.
Select the state you are registered in and submit the form to the PPN in the respective states during the Supplementary Electoral Rolls for December 2021 (DPT BLN12/2021) review period.
You can submit the form on working days from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm or online at the EC portal.
If your name is listed but there is an error, you can also submit a claim to the EC by filling in Form C and submit the form as per the aformention steps.

How To Change Electoral Address
Voters can update their address with the National Registration Department (JPN).
Next, voters must apply for the exchange of constituencies with the EC at any relevant PPN, Post Office or through MySPR Daftar.
