Melaka elections are coming up on 20 November and there are 28 seats up for grabs as multiple parties are fighting to take over the state.

Here’s what you need to know:

Chief Minister Candidates


The Parties

  • Pakatan Harapan – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Democratic Action Party (DAP), Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH)
  • Perikatan Nasional – BERSATU, PAS, GERAKAN
  • Barisan Nasional – United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA)
  • Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (PUTRA)

Pakatan Harapan

  • PKR – 11 seats
  • AMANAH – 9 seats
  • DAP – 8 seats

Perikatan Nasional

  • BERSATU – 15 seats
  • PAS – 8 seats
  • GERAKAN – 5 seats

Barisan Nasional

  • UMNO – 20 seats
  • MCA – 7 seats
  • MIC – 1 seat
