Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri has decided that three more tourist destinations will be allowed starting October 1, 2021.
The decision was made following the Quartet Ministerial Meeting today after seeing the positive development of the Tourism Bubble Pilot Project in Langkawi Island.
Where are the locations?
Melaka, Genting Highlands and Tioman Island!
It’s coming in two more weeks
The decision will be brought to the Covid-19 Management Committee which will be chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob tomorrow on 22 September.
Within two weeks, the destinations will be ready to resume operations. The Ministry together with the Special Committee will refine the standard operating procedures (SOP) in the Special Committee meeting tomorrow involving screening tests as Melaka is relatively large.
