MCMC: Free Daily 1GB Data Extended to 31 July!

The free daily 1GB data for productivity and online learning use has been extended to 31st July 2021, announced the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
Bernama reports that this move is to provide support to the public’s digital transformation as the nation struggles with the Covid-19 outbreak. MCMC also states that this is to assist students who will be switching back to online classes after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Free daily 1GB data offered on 5 telcos
This free daily 1GB data quota will be offered by five major telecommunications service providers:
- Celcom
- Digi
- Maxis
- U-Mobile
- Telekom Malaysia
This free daily 1GB data quota is in addition to existing data plans and can be used for 24 hours.
It can be used for video conferencing as well as emails, but NOT for social media, video streaming, music streaming and online games.
To redeem the free 1GB daily internet, users can refer to their respective service providers for more information. Here’s some useful links:
