AirAsia X Sends Out Refund Forms To Customers Who Prepaid For Flights

AirAsia X, who has been in the verge of bankruptcy, has sent out email to passengers, to participate in the proof of debt (POD) exercise for refunds.
The company shared a document that contains a letter and the POD form to customers. They were also assigned a unique E-filing ID and required to submit the form by 7 April.
According to the Malaysian Department of Insolvency, a POD is a document states how much money a company owes its creditors.
It was reported previously by The Star that the airliner been trying to turn its RM64.15 billion debt into RM200 million and is currently staring bankruptcy in the face.
The budget airline was granted a three-month restraining order recently by the High Court, according to reports from FMT.
Things have been rocky for AirAsia X recently, as their planes weren’t able to fly because of the Covid-19 pandemic, causing the company to see losses for seven straight quarters in a row, based on another report from FMT.
