Covid-19: 409 Recoveries Today The Highest Ever

According to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, 409 patients have recovered from Covid-19 today, bringing the total number of recovered individuals in the country to 12,014
This is the highest number of recoveries in a single day in Malaysia since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, a total of 589 new cases have been reported today, bringing the cumulative number of cases in the country to 18,129. Of these new cases, 3 were imported, while the other was from local transmission.
Out of the total local transmissions, 586 involved Malaysians while the rest involved non-Malaysians.
A total of 5,419 patients are still actively infected and in need of care.
The majority of cases were identified in Sabah while over 27% of cases were identified within the Klang Valley.
Cases were reported accross 12 states and federal territories in Sabah (340), Selangor (150), Perak (52), Kedah (31), Penang (16), Negeri Sembilan (11), Kuala Lumpur (10), Labuan (6), Sarawak (4), Melaka (2), Kelantan (2), and Putrajaya (1).
Meanwhile, a total of 3 deaths were reported in Tawau, Sandakan and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, bringing the country’s total fatality count from Covid-19 to 170.
