The latest statistics from the Ministry of Health (MOH) show that 416 non-Malaysians tested positive for Covid-19 among the 4,228 cases in the country.
The 416 consist of foreigners from Indonesia (53), India (37), Myanmar (31), Pakistan (29) and the Philippines (27), according Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Recently two foreigners died from the coronavirus, one from Pakistan and the other from Indonesia.
The MOH is now working together with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to track refugees and asylum seekers to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
If foreigners tested positive for Covid-19, the Ministry will notify relevant embassies or high commissions.
