Nasi kandar fans are in mourning as Malaysia’s biggest, 24-hour curry joint, Pelita Nasi Kandar temporarily shuts down operations nationwide from April 1 till 14, following the Movement Control Order (MCO).
The famous nasi kandar chain which had its humble beginnings as a small corner side stall in Penang back in 1995, would only be opening its main branch at Chai Leng Park, to offer free pre-packed nasi kandar meals to our diligent frontliners working during the quarantine.
Since the MCO came into effect, Pelita has given away more than 70,000 packs of nasi kandar and refreshments for fronliners to tapau for free.
