Mother ran over by own car when kid puts car in reverse
A woman was run over by her own car at a petrol station in Puchong Utama.
Apparently the lady had left three of her kids inside the parked and running vehicle when her 2-year-old son accidentally shifted the car into reverse.
Noticing the car was backing up into a wall, the mother immediately jumped into the path of the moving vehicle, trying to stop it with her own strength.
Unfortunately, the woman who was in her 40s’ was unable to stop the car from reversing and eventually got herself pinned underneath the vehicle.
It was then that her eldest son stepped in, shifting car gear back into parking mode.
The boy’s quick thinking managed to save his mother’s life who escaped with injuries to her face, legs and torso.
A Facebook posting shared by Kuan Chee Heng shows a photo captured after the incident where the mother is being treated by EMTs.
The incident serves as a reminder to all parents to never leave children unattended in a vehicle, whether it turned on or otherwise.
