Four suspects have been apprehended by Sarawak police in connection with a bullying incident involving Form 1 students in Kota Samarahan.

The arrest follows the circulation of a 47-second video on social media, which went viral on Monday.

The video depicts a distressing scene where the victim, dressed in a green school sports uniform, is subjected to relentless bullying by two smaller-sized classmates.

They relentlessly chase and torment him, while several onlookers choose not to intervene.

Not content with the initial harassment, another student, of average build, joins in the assault.

This student proceeds to punch the victim in the face and back, as well as deliver kicks.

The entire incident is recorded by fellow students, capturing the victim’s anguished cries of pain.

According to Kota Samarahan district police chief DSP Brodie Brangka, immediate action was taken upon receipt of the report, leading to subsequent investigations.

Based on preliminary findings, the incident occurred at the Taman Desa Permai shop block, where a male Form 1 student was assaulted by four male students from the same school.
