University is a phase in one’s life where one not only carves the path to a career, but also a place that teaches one the basic skills of living independently.
Recently an emotional TikTok video of a student by the username @bayinuckal expressing his disappointment towards his university has gone viral.
In the video, it was claimed that the university had asked students to return to campus after the Hari Raya break however the cafeteria remained closed.
The student said he “starved for 24 hours” not because he had no money but because the cafeteria was not open for the students to purchase any food.
Despite that, he said he still received some food from a senior who helped him to buy the meal and did not take money in return.

The video received mixed reactions from netizens. Some said that the student could have gone out to town to buy food rather than complain about his university on social media.
Alah aku dulu zaman university kantin peniaga semua dah balik raya.. university masih lagi ada kelas boleh je ke bandar beli makan.. cuma kena tunggu shuttle bas sekolah. Xde pun nak melalak kat socmed bagai. Tgk username tiktok “bayinuckal” pun da tau mengada-ngada

While the university was not mentioned by name, it is believed to be in Johor.

After the video spread like a wildfire, the student released an apology video on his TikTok account today for the complaints that he raised about his university.
In the apology video, he stated that he was not aware that the management of his university had made food and drinks arrangement for students with financial difficulties and those who were not able to get food for themselves.
@bayinuckal pihak University sangat perhatin, maka mereka telah menyediakan banyak bantuan kepada para pelajar yang memerlukan. saya meminta maaf kerana misunderstanding
