Dr Nur Amalina Che Bakri’s previous comments regarding female circumcision in the United Kingdom have been sensationalised by a few online portals, which then led to a barrage of sexually obscene and profane remarks about her nine-week-old daughter.
Her latest tweet indicated that she has moved forward to file legal action against the respective news portals to serve as a lesson.
Dr Amalina wrote that her lawyers had issued a summons letter towards the local tabloids and reiterated that she didn’t do so to limit the free press.

In the summons letter, she urged the tabloids to take down the misleading articles and not to cover sensational news about her moving forward.
Dr Amalina is seeking a public apology within 7 days of the legal letter. She states that she isn’t looking for any payout and wants to keep the case out of court if all parties agree to cooperate.
She added that she would take legal action against the online trolls on Facebook next.
