Anwar Tells Everyone Not To Give Him Souvenirs

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, just days after informing that the loafers he was spotted wearing was a gift from the Johor Sultan, made an announcement on souvenirs.

On his social media page, Anwar reminded all quarters to not give him souvenirs.

He remarked that this culture should cease.

Malaysians are known for handing out souvenirs to public figures and politicians especially during events they officiate.

Anwar said while he understood the sincerity in this act of gifting, he said it was not in line with the ethics of management and leadership.

It was also something that burdened the rakyat, he remarked.
