Hate Sitting In Traffic? Check Out These Alternative Routes When You Balik Kampung For Raya

JKR suggested some alternative routes to take to relieve traffic on the main roads.

In preparation for the Hari Raya week, the Public Works Department (JKR) has suggested alternative routes for families making their way home to help relieve the traffic on the main roads.

Do check out the alternative routes before you balik kampung with the family.

North Zone

From Jalan Teluk Intan – Changkat Jong (Hotel Grand Court) via Jalan Padang Tembak to Kampung Gajah/ Ipoh and Bidor/ North-South Highway (Exit 128 Sungkai)

From Gopeng/ Tol Simpang Pulai to Sungai Siput/ Batu Gajah

From Tol Kuala Kangsar via Kuala Kangsar to Sungai Siput/ Ipoh

From Kuala Kangsar via Jalan Gerik-Kuala Kenderung (A170) & Jalan Bendariang-Bersia Lama (A171) to Jeli/ Kelantan or via Jalan Gerik-Ulu Kenderung (A169) to Kupang/ Kedah

Central and East Zone

From Pantai Remis/ Tol Ijok via Kuala Selangor to Sabak Bernam/ Teluk Intan

From Bentong via Raub to Kota Bharu

From Gua Musang via Kuala Krai to Kota Bharu

From Chukai via Kampung Ibok to Kuala Terengganu

From Tol Ajil (LPT2) via Hulu Terengganu to Kota Bharu

From Tol Kuala Terengganu (LPT2) to Kota Bharu (Jalan Pantai)

From Besut to Kota Bharu/ Tok Bali

From Pantai Remis/ Tol Ijok via Kuala Selangor to Sabak Bernam/ Teluk Intan

South Zone

From Seremban via Jelebu to Karak

From Jempol/ Kuala Pilah to Karak, Temerloh & Muadzam

From Tol Ayer Keroh to Bandaraya Melaka

Connecting to Muar, Segamat, Kluang, Pontian via Batu Pahat

JKR has also taken steps to improve the road safety such as lowering the speed limit on Jalan Persekutuan from 90km/h to 80km/h throughout the Ops Bersepadu period.
