The driver and the passengers in a Perodua Alza MPV got a shock of their lives when a motorcyclist crashed into their car from the opposite direction.

In a report by New Straits Times, the motorcyclist was flung into the ravine on the left side of the road at KM29 of Jalan Keramat Pulai- Cameron Highlands.

Unfortunately, he died on the spot before any help could arrive in the 5.30 pm incident on Saturday, 5 February.

In a dashcam video from the Alza, a woman can be heard screaming when the motorcycle came into view and crashed into the car.

Ipoh police chief assistant commissioner Yahaya Hassan said the victim riding the SYM Jetx motorcycle was coming from Cameron Highlands.

He suddenly lost control of the vehicle and entered the opposite lane.

Police said the road was straight downhill and dry because it was a sunny day.

The driver of the Alza was not injured. The victim’s body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for an autopsy.

The case is investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
