We all have heard that we should support local small businesses through this Movement Control Order (MCO), particularly our usual kopitiam hawker stalls, but many people are wondering how to keep in touch with them to place delivery orders.
Most of the hawker stalls are unnamed, known only as “that chicken rice place down the street”, and even less are listed online.
So during this movement control order, how are we going to place an order with our favourite wantan mee hawker stall?
In an effort to keep our favourite hawker stalls alive (and to relieve ourselves of cooking everyday), a website is hoping to list our favourite hawker stalls for easy access.
The Hawkers lists out hawkers stalls that are still active and open during the MCO, including their address, operating hours, and order method.
Right now, the listings are mostly clustered around the Bangsar and Petaling Jaya area, but anyone can update a new listing easily.
So if you feel like having some simple hawker fare, give The Hawkers a try! Check out their website here.
