Malaysian students can now use digital textbooks for school, available for free, announced the Education Ministry (MOE).
According to Bernama, the ‘KPM eTextbook Reader’ application gives students access to textbooks during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.
Getting your free textbook
With the KPM eTextbook Reader, students can access the digital textbooks using their smartphones or tablets at any time.
Internet access is not required to use the app and view the textbooks but you do need to be connected initially to download the app and the books.
The application can be downloaded for free online (HERE). It’s also available on Google Playstore (HERE) and Apple Store (HERE).
New class schedules for MCO, CMCO, RMCO in 2021
In MCO areas, primary school students, Secondary school students (Form 1- Form 4) will undergo online classes according to the suitability of teachers and students. Face-to-face teaching and learning sessions apply only to students who will take major examinations for 2020 and 2021 sessions.
Meanwhile in CMCO and RMCO states, all school students can attend school for classes – with the exception of Form 2 and Form 3 students who will have online classes.
