Sg Buloh Hospital Covid-19 Team Recognised At Global Health Awards 2020

The Covid-19 team at Sungai Buloh Hospital have been recognised at the recently held Global Health Awards 2020 for their incredible determination fighting the pandemic!

Sungai Buloh’s Infectious Disease Department head Dr Suresh Kumar and Anaesthesia & Intensive Care Department head Dr Shaiful Azman Zakaria were both recognised for being Covid-19 Fighters.

According to the Global Health Awards website, the regional Asia-Pacific awards aims to recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets that have maintained consistently high standards in delivering quality care and pushed the boundaries of delighting their customers at every stage and in every interaction.

The good news was announced by Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on his social media, who congratulated the medical experts as well as the entire Covid-19 team at Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Very well-deserved indeed! The nation thank you and your team for unwavering dedication, sacrifice and excellence in our efforts to fight COVID-19.

Sungai Buloh Hospital was designated as Malaysia’s main Covid-19 hospital when the pandemic began in March 2020, and once again in October 2020 during the third wave.

Dr. Suresh Kumar has over 15 years of experience as an infectious disease physician while Dr Shaiful Azman has been specialising in anaesthesiology and critical care since 1996.
