Lazada Is Offering Up To 70% Discounts If You Shop Local Until September

The campaigns are co-funded by MDTCA and MDEC to support local products and spur the nation’s digital-led economic recovery.

The popular e-commerce platform Lazada Malaysia has a couple of treats up its sleeves to put some pep in Merdeka month this August – and that’s up to 70% discounts with the ‘Buy Malaysia’ and ‘PENJANA Shop Malaysia Online’ campaigns!

To encourage Malaysians to celebrate the spirit of patriotism as Merdeka approaches at the end of the month, Lazada is offering several treats to those who shop local on the platform such as:

  • immediate savings of up to RM37
  • RM29 in credits and vouchers for Lazada Wallet users
  • RM8 in Free Shipping vouchers on local goods and brands
  • discounts of up to 70% on products from popular local goods and brands

For the ‘Buy Malaysia’ campaign, Lazada is offering exclusive promotions on local products from local sellers until 31 December.

Among the local brands to look out for include Bonia, Sembonia, Desamall@Online, MyFishman, Rams Home Décor.

But if you’re more of a foodie, there’s several nostalgic childhood snacks included in the campaign such as Apollo chocolate wafers and layer cakes, durian popcorn, ice gem biscuits, Lot 100 Sour+ gummies, potong ice-cream, and more!

‘PENJANA Shop Malaysia Online’

PENJANA Shop Malaysia Online’ initiative on Lazada will provide users with savings of up to RM29 from now until 30 September via:

  • Instantly useable, no minimum spend, RM5 credit rebate for new Lazada Wallet users
  • Instantly collectable RM3, RM6, and RM15 discount vouchers for all Lazada Wallet users

This particular campaign is co-funded by the government through Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to spur the nation’s digital-led economic recovery, especially during this economic recovery period.

In fact, the ‘Buy Malaysia’ and ‘PENJANA Shop Malaysia Online’ campaigns on Lazada are done in partnership with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA) and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to support local SMEs and products while offering great bargains and savings for Malaysian consumers.
