Malaysia has sent medical equipment to our friends in Palestine to help them in their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who shared the news through a post on his Facebook page, the care package was chartered on an AirAsia plane to Palestine through Jordan on 10 May.

It includes one million units of masks, 500,000 units of gloves and 500 units of face shields. Hopefully, these contributions from Malaysia can help the people of #COVID19. InsyaAllah.

Besides that, Hishamuddin also reported that the same AirAsia flight also brought home Malaysians stranded overseas.

He said that there were 20 Malaysians in Jordan and 345 in India, including students at USM Belgaum (Bangalore) and MSU-IMS.

The aircraft picked up the Malaysians in Jordan, and headed to India before returning to Kuala Lumpur on the night of 11 May.
