It is not wrong for a school to take any initiative to make things easier for students and build their interest so that they are more enthusiastic about coming to school.
The administrators of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Aman in Bedong, Kedah, went the extra mile by providing the students with chairs to sit during the school assembly.
It came as a surprise as students would normally stand during assembly.
Several photos have been shared on Facebook, showing the atmosphere of the school’s gathering.
It is understood that the chairs were bought using funds raised by the school itself.
However, the matter made some netizens feel uncomfortable and left sarcastic comments.
They said such a move would spoil the students and make them entitled.
However, some defended the school’s action, saying it is impossible to please everyone.
Those who supported the school said the chairs would ensure better hygiene for the students.
Some said that whether the change is perceived to be major or minor, the school must be able to articulate clearly what the change is all about.

At the same time, some said it would be unfair to compare the past with the present, as the situation is different.
They said people should not dwell on things they cannot change but instead learn to accept the past, build on the mistakes, and turn them into amazing things.
