[UPDATED] Water Cut Again! 8 TON Odour Pollution Detected At Sungai Selangor

Operations at the Sungai Selangor phases 1, 2 and 3 and the Rantau Panjang water treatment plants have been shut down this afternoon after solvent-like odour pollution was detected at Sungai Selangor.
Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) stated that the operations were shut down at 12.20pm with Rantau Panjang water treatment plant recording odour pollution of 8 TON (Threshold Odor Number). Odour pollution at SSP1,2 dan 3 are recorded at 4 TON.
Air Selangor states that the unscheduled water disruption will begin at 6pm today, affecting 1,139,008 account holders in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Kuala Langat.
LUAS, Air Selangor and the parties involved are conducting investigations and taking immediate mitigation actions. Any developments will be informed from time to time.

Dimaklumkan LRA Rantau Panjang, SSP 1, 2, dan 3 telah dihenti tugas pd jam 12.20- 12.45 tengah hari (10 November 2020) disebabkan oleh pencemaran bau seakan-akan solvent tlh dikesan di Sg. Selangor. Bau tlh dikesan sekitar 8 Ton di LRA Rantau Panjang.
