Alliance Bank Introduces M’sia’s First Visa Virtual Credit Card Dynamic Card Number

Alliance Bank today introduced the Dynamic Card Number feature in its Alliance Bank Visa Virtual Credit Card (VVCC), in partnership with Visa, CTOS Digital Berhad, RinggitPlus, YTL Communications, and Touch ‘n Go Digital.
The enhanced feature generates a randomised 16-digit credit card number for every transaction which includes e-commerce, streaming and subscription services.
The single-use Dynamic Card Number offers a more secure and safer way of making daily purchases and minimises the customers’ exposure to fraudulent risks, identity thefts and other financial scams. It also reduces the production of plastic credit cards and helps to lower the credit card footprint on online channels.
Users also have the flexibility to determine a dedicated Dynamic Card Number as well as the number of times it can be used for a particular subscription service.
The fully online application process is fast and simple, with digital submission of supporting documents such as EPF statements or salary slips. Successful applicants will be notified through a push notification.
How The VVCC Dynamic Card Number Works
Users can generate a random 16-digit number that lasts for 30 minutes for immediate one-time use or subscription services.
They can copy and paste the generated numbers on to any digital platform. Upon completion of the transaction, the generated numbers will automatically be cancelled.
How To Apply For VVCC
- Download the allianceonline Mobile (AOM) app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Tap on the virtual credit card icon located at the top right of the AOM login page.
- Proceed with the VVCC application by providing personal and income details, taking photos of the front and back of your identity card, and uploading an EPF statement or proof of income.
- You will receive both app push and SMS notifications on the status of the application.
