Local electrical appliance store Senheng in partnership with the SH Retail Academy (SHRA) is launching an e-learning and training platform available on Senheng’s mobile app.

The e-learning platform aims to provide Malaysian workers with the means to upskill or reskill themselves to meet global workforce demands and advance their careers.

Boasted as Malaysia’s #1 retail industry training programme, the Senheng app’s SHRA e-Learning platform is powered by ZilLearn—an artificial intelligence (AI) driven website that provides online video courses and classes taught by trained professionals, much like other e-learning services such as Skillshare, Coursera and the likes.

ZilLearn’s AI system can help workers pinpoint their skill gaps and provide trainees with a more personalised learning experience.

Users can also get e-certified once finishing their courses.

Speaking during the platform’s launch, Senheng New Retail Bhd. Executive Chairman Lim Kim Heng was excited to onboard the e-learning platform onto their app to signal its transition towards becoming a ‘super app’.

The Senheng app is in the process of transforming to become a super app and going beyond consumer electronics and is enriched with a full suite of lifestyle products and services that make up the app’s ecosystem. We are pleased to add the e-learning platform as the next step to continue on our super app journey.

He said that the e-learning platform contains over 13,000 classes and content that allows anyone to learn anytime and anywhere. The platform also live tracks more than 57,000 courses, 3.4 million global job postings and 17,000 skills tags.

The platform provides AI-driven skill gap analysis based on the users’ skill and their career advancements—providing them with a personalised learning pathway to speed up the success of attaining the right skill and the right career through the right training.

Kim Heng added that the e-learning platform would benefit micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) as well as Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) members that may not have the budget to train their employees.

Plus it’s also Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) claimable—letting organizations utilize their HRD grants.

This intelligent platform is capable to personalise each user’s learning pathway and provide a report after. It resembles having a talent development department at a very low cost.

To commemorate the platform’s launch, they are giving away 3-months free e-learning access to the first 3 million Senheng ‘PlusOne’ members.

And after 3 months, all PlusOne members can then earn S-Coin Cashback from any subscription they make on any SHRA e-learning programmes.

The S-Coin can then be redeemed at any Senheng and senQ outlets nationwide.
