Famous actor and lyricist Bob Lokman passed away at about 1pm today at age 58.
Bob, whose real name was Mohd Hakim Lokman, had a long history of battling his heart condition, and is believed to have breathed his last breath in his hometown in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan, reported Berita Harian.
It was reported in May that Bob’s heart was operating at 10% and he conceded that his health is deteriorating.
He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sultan Ahmad Shah Treatment Centre, at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (Sasmec@IIUM) in Kuantan, Pahang due to breathing difficulties on 8 April.
On 21 April, Bob sought treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) but due to financial constraints, he only stayed there for three days.
In 2020, he underwent surgery to insert an Implantable Automatic Cardioverter Defibrillator (IACD) which stabilises his heartbeats at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar, Kedah.
